The Aging Services Council of Austin/Travis County is a collaboration of organizations that serve the elderly in Central Texas. Aging Services Council Report

At age 75 and older, what do older adults need from our community? What issues do they face? How big are their health concerns? Do they feel safe? How can our community help them live independently for as long as possible?

Seeking answers, the Aging Services Council commissioned a survey. The report, entitled Living Independently: Travis County's older adults speak on their needs and the challenges they face, paints a revealing a portrait of strongly independent individuals who remain productive and are determined to age with dignity.
